Four layers, never mixed

LayerWhat it isHow you recognise it
Official textRegulation (EU) 2024/2847 as published in the Official Journal, never rewritten“Official text” badge, serif text, version and source banner
ExplanationOur explanation of the textBlue-green rule and “Explanation — not legal text”
Practical guidanceChecklists, templates, recommendationsOlive rule; recommendations are labelled as such
Training materialLessons, exercises, assessmentPlum rule

Inside explanations we distinguish what the text requires, our interpretation, good practice (not a legal requirement), fictional examples and open questions.

Sources

In order of priority: the Official Journal text and its corrigenda (EUR-Lex / Publications Office), official guidance and FAQs of the European Commission, ENISA, and national authorities. Each page lists the sources it relies on with the date we consulted them. We do not cite secondary commentary as authority.

Review status

Every editorial page shows its status:

  • Draft — not published.
  • Needs review — drafted (with AI assistance) and checked automatically against the official text, but not yet reviewed by a named person. Read it as a starting point, not as advice.
  • Published — reviewed by the person named on the page, on the date shown.

We never display a review, an author or an update date that did not happen.

AI assistance

Drafts may be produced with AI tools under the publisher's responsibility. Automated checks verify that every cited provision exists and that every quotation of the law matches the official text word for word. These checks do not replace human review, which is why unreviewed pages carry the “Needs review” status.

Corrections

Report an error to info@regulation-cra.eu. Substantive corrections change the version number and update date of the page.

Commercial relationships

The publisher also runs training sites and sells ResiPlan, a business-continuity software. Links to them are identified as links to the publisher's own services and appear only where they are relevant. Nothing on this site claims that a product or a course makes anyone compliant.
